Claude Not Working? What To Check First
Use this page when Claude is not loading, timing out, or behaving strangely for you and you want to tell the difference between a local problem and a wider service issue.
Start with the live tracker on the homepage. If other users are also reporting issues, the crowd signal will usually move quickly. If the signal is quiet, the problem may be local to your browser, network, or account session.
If you are seeing the message "This isn't working right now. You can try again later." in Claude or Claude Code, that can line up with temporary provider-side issues, capacity limits, or routing problems. Use the homepage to compare your experience with live user reports.
If Claude is not working for you, try a hard refresh, a private window, or another browser. If you are using a work VPN, company proxy, or browser extension stack, test without those layers as well.
Next, compare what you are seeing with the official status page. Official provider pages are useful, but they may not update instantly at the same moment early user issues begin to surface.
If the problem still appears real for you, submit one report on the homepage. The site counts one accepted report per browser or connection every 10 minutes, so repeated clicks from the same source do not keep stacking the number.
If you want the exact counting logic, review the methodology page. If you want to understand why crowd reports can appear before official status changes, read why official status pages can lag.
