Claude File Upload Failing?
Use this page when Claude will not accept files, uploads stall, or documents fail repeatedly even though the rest of the product seems partly reachable.
Upload failures are often narrower than a full Claude outage. The web app may load normally while only file handling, parsing, or connector-related flows are degraded.
Before assuming Claude is fully down, check these:
- Try one smaller file instead of a large document batch.
- Try another browser or private window to rule out stale session issues.
- Check whether the problem is limited to one file type or all uploads.
- Compare your experience with the homepage crowd signal and the official status page.
If uploads are failing but prompts still work, the issue may be a narrower file-processing incident. If both uploads and prompts fail together, the problem is more likely a broader Claude disruption.
